Should I shave my collie in the summer

Border collies are a double-coated dog breed. They have long hairs, which could build more heat. Is it saving on shaving my Border collie in the summer? Why can’t I shave my Border collie in the summer? What are the possible causes of shaving my Border collie in the summer?

Border collies are used for the herding of the livestock. Border collies have a double coat, which protects them against sun rays in the summer. The upper coat plays a major role in keeping Border collie cool in the summer. It isolates the air and circulates it to the skin of Border collie. Never shave your Border collie in the summer; otherwise, it will cause skin diseases. Most of the owners shave their collies in the summer by thinking they will stay a little cool like this, which never happens.
